The Phonics welcome a new member…

Welcoming aboard to join Rik on guitar is Paul. Paul is a fantastic player who has played in many other bands most notably The Jam Jets. He brings wicked solos and a sixties 12 string electric sound to push our already volumous persona over the edge.

We have played some great shows lately. We played Santos Stadium for the Cancer Council and Relay for life and we played at The Gov backroom for the 2nd Retroactive featuring us, The Jumpdaddies and The Streamliners. Awesome show!

Hey Cats,

The Phonics are here and we plan to stomp til we drop. There will be quite a few changes here over the next few days.

We had a couple of advanced shows while breaking in the new show. One show was at The Governor Hindmarsh supporting our old mates Thundermoose. There was quite a good crowd that night and much fun was had by all.

Then we had our Launch party at La Boheme in the city. A great venue but very small and they were packed in like sardines but we really had fun launching the band. The only thing i had against the show was that the venue didn’t give me a beer for singing my heart out. Paul who owns the place and Malcolm on the door are great blokes though and they made it a bizarre but great night.
